What F-Series owners say

Factory tail lights sit up high.
The driver behind you is looking low.

Rain, fog, dusk on the highway, tailgate down with a load — that's when rear-end hits happen. A full-width LED bar at bumper height puts your brake signal exactly where following drivers are already looking. They react sooner. Your truck stays out of the body shop.

Running, brake, turn and reverse modes on the tailgate light bar

Instant brake response. No delay. No skipped flash.

You've read the reviews on the fancy "sequential" bars: the brake light comes on a beat late, the turn signal skips its first flash. Ours is wired plain and direct — full red the instant your pedal moves, amber the instant you signal.

Running light with your headlights. Full-brightness red on the brakes. Amber blink on the turn signal. White when you reverse. It reads your truck's own signals — nothing to press, nothing to remember.

Hands pressing the light strip onto a tailgate, no drilling

No drill. Two ways to wire it — pick yours above.

2004–2014 (and 2015–2020 without the tow package): peel the 3M backing, press it under your tailgate lip, plug the harness into the flat 4-pin trailer connector. Brake, running and turn are done in ten minutes. The white reverse light takes one extra wire to your reverse lamp.

2015+ with tow package / BLIS, and every 2021+ Ford: the truck's trailer module rejects anything on the plug, so the bar wires to the tail-light circuit with the included hardwire harness. 30–45 minutes with basic tools, or a shop does it in under an hour. No trailer message, BLIS keeps working.

If it doesn't go on as easily as we just said — send it back, we refund everything including your return shipping.

Truck in heavy rain with the red light bar clearly visible

Sealed against water. Backed for 12 months.

Every truck owner has heard "those bars never last a year." Sealed silicone jacket, potted circuit, inline fuse — rain, snow, road salt, the pressure washer at the truck stop.

And if it ever does die inside 12 months — a dead LED, a dead side, a dead turn signal — that's our problem: we ship you a new bar free. You don't even mail the old one back.

True red brake and true amber turn signal on the tailgate light bar

True red. True amber. Not yellow-orange.

The number one complaint on the cheap bars: the brake light comes out orange and the turn signal comes out yellow. Ours are real red LEDs for brake and running, real amber for turn, real white for reverse — the colours the driver behind you expects.

The photos on this page show the exact bar you receive. What you see is what ships.

We read a few thousand light bar reviews before building this one.

Same five complaints, over and over — on Amazon, eBay and every truck forum. Here's what owners keep saying, and what we did about each one.

Seven months in and most of the amber LEDs are dead. Third bar in two years.

What we did: sealed ends, potted circuit, inline fuse — and a 12-month replacement where you keep the old bar. If it dies, it dies on us.

One car wash and there's water inside the strip.

What we did: silicone jacket over a fully potted board. Rain, snow, salt and the truck-stop pressure washer are fine.

Plugged it into the trailer port and my truck thinks a trailer is connected — lost the backup camera and blind spot alerts.

What we did: 2021+ Ford kits ship with a hardwire harness instead. No trailer plug, no dash message, BLIS keeps working.

Amazon said 60 inch. The lit part was 55 and the end caps fell off.

What we did: one bar, sized for F-Series tailgates, sold only for F-Series trucks. Wrong fit? Keep it, we refund you.

The brake light comes on a beat late and the turn signal skips its first flash.

What we did: no sequential animation, no controller. Wired plain and direct — full red the instant your pedal moves.

Half the bars I see on the road are half dead and look cheap.

What we did: rigid aluminum housing, real red and real amber LEDs — the colours the driver behind you expects, not yellow-orange.

Install: 10 minutes on the plug, under an hour hardwired

Three steps for 2004–2014 trucks. Hardwire trucks (2015+ tow package, all 2021+) replace step 3 with the included harness guide. Stuck? Email us a photo — we walk you through it the same day.

1

Clean & stick

Wipe the tailgate lip with the alcohol pad, peel the 3M backing, press the bar on straight. Backup clips in the box.

2

Route the wire

Run the flat cable along the bed rail to your trailer connector. Reverse wire goes to the reverse lamp. Clips included.

3

Plug in & test

Plug trucks: click into the 4-pin plug. Hardwire trucks: follow the harness guide to the tail-light circuit. Tap the brakes, hit the blinker — you're done.

📏 Will it fit my Ford? Yes — and if we're wrong, it costs us, not you.

This bar is designed for Ford F-Series trucks only — F-150, F-250 and F-350. It mounts under the tailgate lip. It does not fit RAM, Chevy, GMC, Toyota or other brands.

  • 60 inch → full edge-to-edge coverage on F-150 / F-250 / F-350
  • 2004–2014 → plugs into your 4-pin trailer connector, no dash warnings
  • 2015–2020 → plugs in if you have no tow package / BLIS; with them, hardwire with the included harness
  • 2021 and newer → hardwire only; the trailer port will not run the bar on these trucks
  • 2024+ F-150 → use the harness exactly as instructed. Never splice into the tail-light wiring on these trucks — the combined brake/turn circuit will throw faults.

Not sure? Email us your truck's year, model and trim before ordering — we answer within a day. Wrong harness anyway? We swap it free and cover the shipping. A fitment mistake never costs you a dime.

Straight answers

Does it fit RAM, Chevy or other trucks?

No — this bar is built for Ford F-150, F-250 and F-350 only. If you drive another brand, this isn't the right product for your truck. Order it anyway and it doesn't fit? We still take it back — full refund, shipping on us.

Do I need to cut or splice any wires?

2004–2014, and 2015–2020 without the tow package: no. The harness plugs into the flat 4-pin trailer connector; the white reverse light takes one extra wire to your reverse lamp. 2015+ with tow package / BLIS and all 2021+: yes — the bar wires to the tail-light circuit with the included harness and step-by-step guide. 30–45 minutes with basic tools, or any shop does it in under an hour.

Will my truck think a trailer is connected?

On Fords with the factory tow package or BLIS (most 2015+ trucks, and every 2021+), yes — anything on the trailer plug makes the truck think a trailer is hooked up, and it may ignore the bar entirely. That's why those trucks hardwire to the tail-light circuit with the included harness: no plug, no notice, BLIS keeps working. 2004–2014 trucks on the 4-pin plug don't have this.

Will my turn signals start hyper-flashing?

No. Hyperflash happens when you swap your factory bulbs for LEDs. This bar adds to your lighting — it doesn't replace any bulb — so your flasher sees the same load it always did.

Are the colours really red and amber?

Yes. Red LEDs for running and brake, amber for turn, white for reverse. If yours arrives any other colour, it's a free replacement.

Is it legal?

It supplements your factory lights — it doesn't replace or cover them — and uses the standard colours: red brake, amber turn, white reverse. Auxiliary lighting rules vary by state, so check your local regulations.

Can I still use my trailer plug?

Yes. The harness has a pass-through, so your trailer connector stays free while the bar is hooked up. 2021+ trucks on the hardwire harness never touch the trailer plug at all.

What if the adhesive lets go — or an LED dies?

Either one is our problem, not yours. It's genuine 3M VHB tape rated for automotive exteriors, plus backup mounting clips in the box. If the tape lets go, a single LED dies, or a turn signal stops working any time in 12 months, we ship you a brand-new bar free. You don't mail the old one back, you don't pay a cent.

What if it doesn't fit — or I just don't like it?

Wrong fit? Keep it, we refund you. Don't like it? 30 days, we pay the return label. Fails inside 12 months? We ship a new one, you keep the old bar — no return, no forms. The only way you lose money on this order is if you love it and keep it.

Snow, car wash, pressure washer?

Sealed silicone jacket and inline fuse — rain, snow, salt and the truck-stop pressure washer are fine. One honest note: like any bumper-height light, heavy snow packed on the bumper will cover it until you brush it off.

What if I get stuck during the install?

Email us a photo of where you are — we walk you through it the same day. Every email is answered within 24 hours, by a person.
