Silverado & Sierra 1500: 60" spans the tailgate edge to edge. HD tailgates (2500/3500) can run a little wider, so measure yours before ordering. The 48" sits centered under the tailgate — a shorter look on a full-size truck. Pick wrong? We swap it free.

Rain, fog, dusk on the highway, tailgate down with a load — that's when rear-end hits happen. A full-width LED bar at bumper height puts your brake signal exactly where following drivers are already looking. They react sooner. Your truck stays out of the body shop.

You've read the reviews on the fancy "sequential" bars: the brake light comes on a beat late, the turn signal skips its first flash. Ours is wired plain and direct — full red the instant your pedal moves, amber the instant you signal.
Running light with your headlights. Full-brightness red on the brakes. Amber blink on the turn signal. White when you reverse. Running, brake and turn come straight off your trailer connector; reverse is optional — one wire to your reverse circuit.

Peel the 3M backing, press it under your tailgate lip, run the flat cable to your factory 4-pin trailer connector. Running lights, brake and turn signals work straight through the plug — nothing gets cut.
Want the white reverse light too? Connect its single wire to your reverse circuit — a quick-splice from any parts store. Skip it and the bar still runs red and amber normally.
If it doesn't go on as easily as we just said — send it back, we refund everything including your return shipping.

Every truck owner has heard "those bars never last a year." Fully potted circuit in a sealed silicone jacket. Rain, snow, road salt, mud, car wash — none of it gets in. Rated for -40°F to 176°F in use.
And if it ever does die inside 12 months — a dead LED, a dead side, a dead turn signal — that's our problem: we ship you a new bar free. You don't even mail the old one back. One thing to know before you start: the 3M adhesive needs warmth to bond — see the cold-weather note below.

The number one complaint on the cheap bars: the brake light comes out orange and the turn signal comes out yellow. Ours are real red LEDs for brake and running, real amber for turn, real white for reverse — the colours the driver behind you expects, from three cars back, even with a trailer hitched up.
Every photo and video on this page is our bar on a real truck, lit, at night. What you see is what ships.
Three steps for running, brake and turn. One optional extra for reverse. Stuck? Email us — we walk you through it.
Wipe the tailgate lip with alcohol, peel the 3M backing, press the bar on straight and hold 30 seconds. Backup clips in the box.
Run the flat cable along the bed rail to your factory 4-pin trailer connector. Clips included.
Click into the 4-pin plug. Tap the brakes, hit the blinker — running, brake and turn are done.
Optional — reverse light: a 4-pin trailer connector carries ground, running, left turn and right turn only. There is no reverse signal in it on any truck. To use the white reverse light, connect the bar's single reverse wire to your reverse circuit — a quick-splice connector from any auto parts store does it in a few minutes.
How it behaves with your headlights on: on the trailer circuit, brake and turn share the same wire per side. With running lights on, the bar dims to running brightness and the turn side blinks against it — that's the trailer wiring working as designed, on every brand, not a fault.
Installing in cold weather: the 3M adhesive hardens below about 50°F and won't bond properly. Warm the tailgate surface and the back of the bar with a hair dryer before mounting, then press firmly for 30 seconds. In winter, install in a heated garage if you can.

This bar is built for Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups with a factory 4-pin flat trailer connector. It mounts under the lip of the tailgate itself — not in the gap between the tailgate and the bumper. It does not fit Ford, RAM, Toyota, Nissan or other brands.
On newer GM trucks, plugging anything into the factory trailer connector makes the truck believe a trailer is attached. While the bar is plugged in, rear park assist and blind spot alerts can switch off and the dash may show a trailer message. A 7-pin to 4-pin adapter does not avoid this — it sits on the same circuit. If you rely on those systems every day, this product isn't for you. We'd rather say that now than refund you later.
Not sure? Email us your truck's year, model and trim before ordering — we answer within a day. Doesn't fit anyway? Full refund and we pay the return shipping. Wrong size? Free swap, shipping covered both ways. A fitment mistake never costs you a dime.
Under the lip of the tailgate itself, across its bottom edge — not underneath the truck and not in the gap between the tailgate and the bumper. It moves with the tailgate when you drop it.
It doesn't come through the plug. A 4-pin flat trailer connector carries ground, running lights, left turn and right turn — there is no reverse signal in it on any truck. To use the white reverse light you connect the bar's single reverse wire to your reverse circuit. Running, brake and turn need no wiring at all.
On 2019 and newer GM trucks, yes — which is why we don't sell it for those. On 1999–2018 trucks there's no trailering module to confuse, so nothing changes on your dash.
No. Hyperflash happens when you swap your factory bulbs for LEDs. This bar adds to your lighting — it doesn't replace any bulb — so your flasher sees the same load it always did.
No. On the trailer circuit, brake and turn share one wire per side, so with running lights on the bar sits at running brightness and the turn side blinks against it. Every brand of tailgate bar behaves this way on this circuit. If a whole section stays dark or nothing lights at all, that's different — email us a photo and we replace it.
Yes. Red LEDs for running and brake, amber for turn, white for reverse. Every photo and video here is our bar, on a real truck, unedited. If yours arrives any other colour, it's a free replacement.
No. GM's own bulletin PIT5648A documents trailer-detection faults on those trucks, and a light bar on the trailer connector makes it worse. We'd rather not sell it to you than take it back.
No — this bar is built for Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra only. We sell separate versions for other brands; email us and we'll point you to the right one.
It supplements your factory lights — it doesn't replace or cover them — and uses the standard colours: red brake, amber turn, white reverse. Auxiliary lighting rules vary by state, so check your local regulations.
None for running, brake and turn — peel, stick and plug. If you want the reverse light, you'll also need a wire quick-splice connector.
Either one is our problem, not yours. It's genuine 3M VHB tape rated for automotive exteriors, and backup mounting clips are in the box. Most adhesive failures come from mounting in the cold — warm the surface first. If the tape lets go, a single LED dies, or a turn signal stops working any time in 12 months, we ship you a brand-new bar free. You don't mail the old one back, you don't pay a cent.
Doesn't fit your truck: full refund, we pay the return shipping. Wrong size: free swap, shipping covered both ways. Don't like it: return it within 30 days for a full refund, and we pay the return label. The only way you lose money on this order is if you love it and keep it.
IP67 sealed — rain, snow, salt and the car wash are fine. One honest note: like any bumper-height light, heavy snow packed on the bumper will cover it until you brush it off.
Every risk is ours: fits or it's free · dies in 12 months, replaced free · 30-day money back, return shipping paid
