Sound familiar?

Your truck's bed light is a phone flashlight held in your teeth.

Factory bed lights are dim, sit up by the cab, and most trucks don't have them at all. Every after-dark job — loading the cooler, strapping a load, finding the ratchet you dropped — turns into fumbling in the dark.

Dark bed at the job siteLeave at 5am, get back at 7pm. You never see your bed in daylight.
Under a tonneau coverWith the cover on, the bed is a black box — even at noon.
Camping, hunting, launch rampNo streetlights out there. Gear ends up on the ground.
What's in the box

8 pods. 48 LEDs. One switch. Nothing else to buy.

  • 8×Light pods — 6 LEDs each, white 6000K, sealed and waterproof. Thin enough to hide under the bed rail.
  • 1×Red rocker switch — lights on, lights off. Mount it in the bed or at the tailgate, wherever your hand lands.
  • 1×Inline fuse — pre-wired on the power lead. Protects your truck's wiring.
  • 1×Pre-wired harness — long enough for 8-foot beds, pods already spaced on the wire. No splicing pod to pod.
  • —3M adhesive on every pod + screws and an alcohol wipe for a clean, permanent mount.
Install

Three steps. No drilling into the bed. About 30 minutes.

1
Wipe and stick

Clean the underside of each bed rail with the included wipe. Peel, press each pod for 30 seconds. Four pods per side.

2
Route the wire

Run the harness along the rail and down through the existing bed drain hole or the gap at the front bulkhead. Zip ties included.

3
Connect 12V

Red to battery positive (or a fused accessory spot), black to a ground bolt. The inline fuse is already on the red wire. Flip the switch.

Want it on your factory bed-light switch instead? You can — the included instructions show which factory wire to tap on Ford, RAM, Chevy/GMC and Toyota. Optional, not required.
We read the 1-star reviews on the cheap kits

Every complaint about bed light kits — and what we did about it.

We went through the reviews on Amazon's bed light kits before we built this one. The same problems come up again and again. Here's the list, and our answer to each.

Our answer
One LED in a pod went dead after a month. Press on it and it flickers back on.
Sealed pods, not glued-in LEDsEach pod is potted as one solid piece so nothing moves inside. If a pod ever fails, we send a replacement — no questions, no shipping the old one back.
Adhesive let go the first cold morning. Pods hanging by the wire.
3M automotive tape + screws in the boxReal 3M, not generic foam tape, and an alcohol wipe because the rail has to be clean first. Prefer screws? Every pod has screw tabs. Use both if you want.
I have no idea how to wire this to my truck. There's no instructions.
Two wires. Illustrated instructions. A real person if you're stuck.Red to positive, black to ground — that's the whole job. The printed guide has photos, and our support answers wiring questions by text or email within a day.
Will this drain my battery? Does it even have a fuse?
Fused, and it draws less than your dome lightThe inline fuse is pre-installed. All 8 pods together pull under 1 amp — you'd have to leave them on for days to notice on the battery. Off is off: the rocker switch fully cuts power.
Says waterproof. Got moisture inside the pod after one car wash.
Rated for pressure washing, not just rainPods are sealed to IP67, and the wire enters through a molded strain relief — no open seam for water to find. Mounted under the rail, they never take direct spray anyway.
Only one strand lit up. Had to return the whole thing.
One harness, tested before it shipsEvery kit is powered up and checked before it leaves the warehouse. If anything is dead on arrival, we replace the kit and cover the shipping.
Not bright enough. / Too blue-white for my taste.
48 LEDs at 6000K — bright enough to read a tape measureThis is work light, not glow light. It lights the whole floor of the bed, corner to corner. If you want colored accent light, this is the wrong kit — and we'd rather tell you now.
Wire was too short for my 8-foot bed.
Harness sized for long bedsPods are spaced on the wire for an 8' bed with slack left over. On a 5.5' bed you'll simply have extra wire to tuck away.
Does it work with my tonneau cover?
Yes — that's where it helps mostThe pods are about a quarter inch thick and mount under the rail lip, below the cover rails. Roll-up, tri-fold, hard folding covers: all fine.

Questions

What people ask before they buy.

Do I need to drill holes in my truck?

No. The pods stick to the underside of the bed rail. The harness runs through an existing drain hole or the gap at the front of the bed. Screws are included only if you prefer them.

Where does the power come from?

Either straight to the battery (red to positive, black to a ground bolt) or to any fused 12V accessory point. The fuse on the red lead is already in place. If you want the lights on the factory bed-light switch, the guide shows the tap point for each brand.

Will it void my warranty?

Adding an accessory does not void a vehicle warranty. If you'd rather not touch factory wiring at all, connect directly to the battery — nothing on the truck is modified.

Does it work with a spray-in bed liner or a drop-in liner?

Yes. The pods mount under the rail lip, above the liner. For drop-in plastic liners, mount to the metal rail, not the liner.

Can I install it myself if I've never done wiring?

If you can use a wrench on a battery terminal, you can do this. Two wires, color coded, with photo instructions. Most people finish in about 30 minutes.

How long does shipping take?

Ships from our US warehouse. Most orders arrive in 3–6 business days. You'll get a tracking number by email and text.

Is it street legal?

Yes. Bed lights only illuminate the inside of the bed. They're white, not red or blue, and not visible as a driving light from the road.

Never load your truck in the dark again.

8 pods, 48 LEDs, fuse and switch in the box. 30 minutes to install. 30 days to change your mind.
